Mesilla Valley Hospital is located in Las Cruces, the second-largest city in New Mexico, in the county of Dona Ana which has a diverse population totaling nearly 214,000. The Mesilla Valley area is rich in culture and heritage, along with beautiful scenery including the Organ Mountains.

Several military installations are located in close proximity to Las Cruces, including White Sands Missile Range, Holloman Air Force Base, and Fort Bliss. Las Cruces is home to New Mexico State University, the state’s second largest public university, where the total enrollment at its five campuses exceeds 29,000 with 17,600 attending the main campus.
