Partial Hospitalization Programs

Our Partial Hospitalization Programs are designed for patients who are able to attend programming during the day and go home at night.

Services

Mesilla Valley Hospital offers inpatient and outpatient treatment options for children & adolescent patients to help meet the diverse needs of this population. This includes an Adolescent Acute Treatment Program for youth ages 7–17, and a Partial Hospitalization Program for youth ages 13-17.

The Adolescent Acute Treatment Program is designed for youth who need crisis stabilization, medication management, and short-term treatment for emotional, behavioral, psychological and substance abuse problems.

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is an intensive group therapy program for individuals in need of treatment for mental health and/or co-occurring substance use. The structured program assists patients in developing coping and life skills needed to manage their behavioral health conditions.

Mesilla Valley Hospital provides inpatient psychiatric and dual-diagnosis addiction treatment services for adults in a respectful, secure environment. Our staff is trained in treating individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis, or who are also in need of detox and substance abuse treatment. If you or your loved one is in need of crisis stabilization or addiction treatment services, we are here to help.

Inpatient hospitalization may be appropriate for adults who require crisis stabilization and short-term treatment for emotional, behavioral, psychological and substance abuse problems. Dual diagnosis treatment offers an inpatient program for adults struggling with alcohol and drug addiction as well as a co-occurring psychological issue.

Additionally, we are TRICARE®-certified and provide treatment for substance abuse and
mental health issues to support active duty military, veterans and their families.

We also offer two Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) for adults — one for those dealing with chemical dependency and one for those facing mental health concerns., Both also address co-occurring disorders.

Congratulations to our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) graduate, Michael! When he began our PHP program he was addicted and homeless, with no place to go. Michael says he was hopeless and ready to give up on life. Life was hard and he hit rock bottom.

Through word-of-mouth, Michael heard about the Outpatient Program at Mesilla Valley Hospital and decided it was time to get help. Michael says this decision changed his life. Michael feels through the program he received the tools he needed to overcome addiction and learn coping skills to help him on the road to recovery. Michael says he is grateful for Mesilla Valley Hospital because he felt at home while he was here, and that the program gave him hope to pursue his dreams.

His first step was when he walked into the Outpatient Program, but he is grateful to all the staff who helped him make the steps beyond that first one. The Outpatient Director, Sherilyn, and her amazing team say this day is what it’s all about; when they see a patient complete the program with dreams and goals, it makes every day of their job worth it! Congratulations, Michael!
