The Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a behavioral health program that is part of Mesilla Valley Hospital’s Outpatient Services. PHP provides structured treatment for adolescents ages 13 – 17, who have psychiatric illnesses, behavioral issues, and/or substance use conditions.

Our program focuses on helping patients obtain and maintain sobriety from substances, along with managing mental health conditions that have interfered with the ability to live a fulfilling life. PHP allows patients to address the social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties they experience at home, school, and in the community. Our professionally trained staff strive to help patients develop effective coping and interpersonal skills to develop healthy relationships while balancing the stressors related to home and school life.

• Individual, family and group therapy
• Medication management
• On-site consultation with a psychiatric provider
• Relapse prevention
• Structured treatment five days a week (lunch included)
• Collaboration with each patient’s school to help maintain academic progress
